TERIS Bolsters Business Development Team with Three Key Hires

SAN FRANCISCO – October 22, 2012 – TERIS, a leading provider of eDiscovery and related litigation support and information governance solutions to corporations and law firms across the US and internationally, announced today the addition of three professionals to its business development team.

As vice president of business development and general counsel, Julia Romero Peter has spent more than five years in eDiscovery, plus an additional six years practicing law in New York and New Jersey. Before joining TERIS, she managed business development for eLitigation Solutions, Inc. (eLit) in Palo Alto, consulting with Fortune 500 companies and AmLaw 200 law firms in managing and mitigating risk in preservation, forensics, eDiscovery and information governance. She has also worked in consulting and project/account management for Guidance Software, Inc. in Pasadena, American Discovery, Inc. in Los Angeles, and LexisNexis Applied Discovery, Inc. in New York and San Francisco.

Peter earned a Juris Doctorate from Rutgers University School of Law in Newark, NJ, and a bachelor’s degree in history, and secondary education from Columbia University in New York. She is a member of Women in eDiscovery and volunteers with the German International School of Silicon Valley.

A practicing litigator, teacher, speaker, author and active member of the legal technology community for 15 years, Alexander H. Lubarsky joins TERIS as director of business development. He has trained and consulted to hundreds of law firms, corporate legal departments and government counsel offices, helping them to implement technology to compete ‘head-on’ with AMLAW 200 large law firms. He is a certified trainer/consultant in the four major litigation support applications.

Lubarsky spent several years as a director for Guidance Software – the world’s leading computer forensic software manufacturer. His past positions also include Lexis/Nexis, Summation Legal Technologies, ZANTAZ Guidance Software and Catalyst Repository Systems.  After receiving his JD and LL.M. in International Law and Immigration Law at Golden Gate University School of Law, Lubarsky co-founded Community Legal Centers in East San Jose to provide low cost immigration, bankruptcy and criminal defense representation to low income immigrant communities.  He co-chairs the AIDS Legal Referral Program and serves on various California State Bar committees, including Technology and Law Practice Management.

Brandon Garibaldi, director of business development, brings a diverse background in IT and eDiscovery to TERIS. His experience includes complex data manipulation and document production, as well as consulting with clients on collection and processing strategies. Most recently, Garibaldi was an eDiscovery project manager at Morrison & Foerster LLP in San Francisco. Prior to that, he spent more than eight years in various IT analyst and network/systems administrator roles with law firms in the Bay Area. Garibaldi studied history at De Anza College in Cupertino.
