Speed Networking – TERIS and ACC Austin Team Up For the October Career Enhancement Event
TERIS and The Association of Corporate Counsel – Austin Chapter bring an all-new event to
the ACC membership.
Austin, TX (PRWEB) October 02, 2014 — TERIS and ACC Austin are excited to bring together an all-new type
of event to the ACC membership which will give attendees a chance to learn, mix, mingle, and network with
others. On Tuesday, October 21st, TERIS is hosting a Career Enhancement Event for the members of ACC
Austin. The concept – speed networking – is a new type of event for ACC, and aims to expand upon traditional
networking to get people talking to folks with whom they may not already have a relationship. “The
Association of Corporate Counsel – Austin Chapter is the leading source of continuing legal education, pro
bono activities and networking opportunities for in-house counsel in the Austin area. ACC Austin is excited to
be working with TERIS to provide this new opportunity for its members,” said Morinne Kearns, Executive
Director for ACC Austin.
When asked about the event, Mike Frazier, Director of Information Governance at TERIS, said, “This should
be a lot of fun, and we’re excited to be partnering with ACC Austin to host it. Having been to countless
traditional networking events, I always seem to look for and gravitate to familiar faces. Hopefully, this format
will help everyone to branch out and meet new people in a structured and comfortable way.” At the event, Mike
will be presenting to the membership on legal cost and risk containment. The presentation will highlight some
of the challenges that in-house counsel face in efficiently managing legal costs in the face of expanding risks,
regulations, and the exponential growth of data that affect today’s businesses and legal processes. “My goal is
to generate some discussion for members to share their struggles in efficiently managing their legal spend –
what has worked, and what hasn’t.”
TERIS provides information governance and litigation readiness consulting, technology assessments and
solution selection consulting, and litigation and legal operations management consulting services to
